Maintenance of good water quality is important in any garden pond containing fish, but is essential for anyone wishing to successfully keep Koi. Andrew Lindsey at The Pond Health Consultant is on hand to help you to achieve the water quality required for a healthy pond.
From his Cambridge location, Andrew will visit your pond, test your water quality, check your fish for parasites and determine the cause of any health issues in your pond. If you are concerned about the health of your fish, worried you have introduced a sick fish to existing stock, or are wishing to improve water quality or clarity; then contact Andrew. He will bring all the necessary equipment to ensure he can diagnose your fish health and water quality problems.

Andrew Lindsey has more than 40 years’ of practical, full-time experience at one of the region’s most respected aquatic retailers, Langleys Aquatics Ltd. His role included the quarantine and treatment of thousands of newly imported fish, ranging from inexpensive goldfish to high-value quality Japanese Koi, as well as maintaining the health of the existing fish. Over the years he has been able to trial many treatments and refine dose rates.
During this time, he has overseen numerous projects from simple pond cleanouts to major projects worth tens of thousands of pounds, advising retail and trade customers on all aspects of fishkeeping. In addition, he was the Aquatics Consultant or pond doctor for Langleys Aquatics, visiting the ponds of dozens of customers annually, covering aspects such as; fish health, water quality, filtration, pond construction, refurbishment, and planting advice.
Andrew is also an Oase Authorised Installer.
Since Langleys Aquatics closed to the public in November 2015, Andrew has developed a pond health consultancy service into a full-time business to meet the demand from new and existing customers, who require regular pond visits to ensure any potential fish health problems are spotted early, and treated as soon as possible.
